Plot
Mahadev is an unemployed guy who lives with his ailing mother in Mumbai’s slum. Despite being a graduate, he struggles to get a decent job. As he is financially weak, he is unable to bribe the officials. Mahadev falls in love with Gayathri, his neighbour. Boseman was a reputed builder who lost all his fame and money due to some legal issues. What connects them and how things change form the rest of the story.
Star Performance
Once again, Vijay Sethupathi proves that he is a versatile actor. Arvind Swamy’s performance is impressive. Aditi is quite good in her role. Siddharth’s performance is entertaining.
Analysis
Without a single dialogue, explaining something is not easy. The director’s effort is appreciable. The star cast is one of the biggest pluses, as for this subject, if any other actors other than these mainstream stars had been cast, it would’ve given a stale appeal. The director’s effort in grabbing the audience’s attention is laudable. However, the theme doesn’t have anything new, but a familiar one. The first half is a slow-paced one, and some sequences don’t impress. A few characters look incomplete, especially that of Mahesh Manjrekar. AR Rahman’s BGM is excellent. The fun moments and the serious moments are defined well through his score. The visuals are good, and the editing has no serious issues.

Verdict
Despite a renowned theme, for the performances and narration, the film is watchable once!
